Hi crafty friends! I’m so excited and honored to be a ‘Fetti Friend for Reverse Confetti for the next two months! There are some really fun products coming up so please stay tuned for the next several days as design team members and guests countdown to release day – September 8! For each countdown day, you have a chance to win a gift card to the shop. More details on prizes and the full line up below.

For Day 1 of Countdown to Confetti Day, we’re featuring the Boo Day stamp set and dies and the Halloween Sentiments stamp set. Please note that the links won’t work until the release is live on Sept 8. I love, love Halloween and decided to make a card and a shaker tag with my new goodies.

To create my card, I started by stamping, copic coloring, and die cutting several images from the Boo Day stamp set. Next, I worked on my background. I ink smooshed a variety of distress oxides, distress inks, and the new distress mica sprays on heavy stock paper. I dried between each layer for added texture and depth. I love the sparkle and shine of the mica sprays and the colors are perfect for Halloween! Finally, I added splatters of white gloss spray and silver, metallic watercolor.

Once my inked panel was dry, I die cut it with the Stitched Pinwheel Cover Panel. I also die cut several panels of plain white cardstock to stack for added dimension beneath the swirl pieces. To help the images stand out a little more, I die cut a piece of vellum with the Stitched Note and Frames Confetti Cuts. I used the inside rectangle piece to help my critters stand out from the background. On top, I added several images from the Boo Day stamp set that I colored. I added a few finishing details like glitter on the stars and moon, black glaze pen on the critter eyes, and a strip of pattern paper from the new Hello Holidays paper pack.

My cute, Halloween tag came together in a similar way. I inked a panel using just the mica sprays, and die cut it with the Large Detailed Circle Frame Confetti Cuts. This piece hid the foam tape that I used to build my shaker walls. Out of black cardstock, I die cut the Circle with Burst Tag Confetti Cuts, using just the outer circle die. Inside the shaker, I added silver and clear sequins, and I decorated the tag with extra pieces I colored and die cut from the Boo Day stamp set.

For the sentiment, I die cut several layers of white cardstock with the Layered Boo Confetti Cuts. I used vellum for the shadow layer and a piece of pattern paper from the Hello Holidays paper pad for the top layer. Lastly, I added glitter to the pumpkin eyes, the spider web, and the cat’s hat. Hope you enjoyed these too cute to be spooky makes! Thanks for stopping by!
