Love You Muchly – Ellen Hutson

Today, I’m sharing how I made my IG hop card. I used the Strawberry Fields set and the Berry Basket die. If you recall from reveal day 3, I used the Berry Basket to create a little care package filled with lemons, tea, and honey. It is great for a 3D gift, but also on a card front in a 2D format. I love finding ways to stretch my supplies so it is great for a product to have this versatility built in already. This card was fairly easy to put together so let’s dive into the details!

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
  1. On a sheet of mixed media paper, ink smoosh several pink, orange and yellow inks from Catherine Pooler and Concord & 9th.
  2. Once the ink has dried, die cut with one of the EBE Rectangle dies, and then again with the EBE A2 Piercing die for added texture. Back the panel with fun foam for dimension.
  3. Stamp and die cut several leaves, flowers, and strawberries from the Strawberry Fields stamp set. Some berries I stamped directly with one color and other berries I stamped in a light color (Grapefruit from C9) and then blended on a darker color (like Honeysuckle) with a blending brush on the tops of the stamp for a gradient look.
  4. Die cut the Berry Basket die from kraft cardstock.
  5. Cut a small panel of white cardstock that fits just behind the basket and stamp several strawberries to give the impression that the basket is full of berries. Glue the panel behind the basket and adhere it to the card front with foam tape.
  6. Arrange and adhere the stamped and die cut berries around the basket and at the top.
  7. For the sentiment, hot foil the Casual Greeting hot foil stamp with gold glimmer foil. Die cut the sentiment with the coordinating die. Add gold twine behind the sentiment and adhere to the card front with foam tape.
  8. Finish the card by splattering gold metallic watercolor, adding some gold pearls at the flower centers, and adhering it to an A2 card base.
