July Release! – MFT Stamps

It’s release day! Have you checked the MFT site yet? Today, I’m sharing inspiration using all three of the new stamp sets by MFT’s newest illustrator, Jenoblade. She used to illustrate and design for Clearly Besotted in case these cute critters look familiar. And YES, each stamp set comes with coordinating dies.

I wanted to share a card using elements from each set to show how you can use them together to build a cute scene. Of course, one stamp set alone is enough to build a scene, but I like using them all together for an explosion of cuteness. 🙂

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Use the Watercolor Rectangle Stencil to ink blend a background. I used saltwater taffy, salvaged patina, and twisted citron distress inks. I used a darker green ink to deepen the “grass” as well. Splatter the background with clean water for additional texture.
  2. Trim the panel down leaving a tiny bit of white around the stenciled background. Matte with a slightly larger layer of Summer Splash cardstock die cut with the Double Stitched Rectangle STAX.
  3. Stamp and copic color several images from JB Carnival Critters, JB Happy Birthday to My Favorite Gnomie, and JB Hang Out and Celebrate. Die cut with the coordinating die-namics for each set.
  4. Adhere the images with foam tape and liquid glue on the card front.
  5. Stamp and white heat emboss a sentiment from JB Carnival Critters at the bottom of a kraft card base.
  6. Embellish with sequins, clear gloss over certain areas of the images, and faux white ink splatter.
