What’s Cookin’ – MFT Stamps

I hope everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving! In fitting with the holiday, MFT is releasing a cute card kit tomorrow, Nov 28 at 10am ET. It is called What’s Cookin’ and is full of dies to create realistic kitchen scenes. It is perfect to make cards for all your foodie or chef friends. I don’t really enjoy cooking, but I do love eating and I don’t mind cleaning.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Adhere a piece of Lemon Drop cardstock to an A2 card base.
  2. On Kraft cardstock, use the English Brick stencil with texture paste. I used the Finnabair Paper Texture Paste on my card. I love that it is really textured and you can add more in certain spots to give the appearance of thicker, uneven bricks. It’s a really beautiful paste to have in your stash. Set aside panel to air dry.
  3. While the panel was drying, die cut all of the pieces to create the card. I die cut all the pieces from white, Chantilly Cream, Moroccan Spice, Lemon Drop, and Cement Gray cardstock (these colors and more come with the card kit). It is a lot of die cutting and a lot of small pieces, but stay organized using small containers or designating spots on your work table for each set. Some pieces I copic colored for ease. I used pieces from the following die sets: Everything and the Kitchen Sink, Hot Stuff, Mix and Chop, Plugged In, and On the Shelf. They all work together to create all the parts of a complete kitchen.
  4. Adhere all of the pieces together creating the kitchen scene. Add white pen highlight details.
  5. Stamp a sentiment from What’s Cookin’ on Lemon Drop card stock and trim into a strip. Adhere with thin foam tape.
  6. Embellish with a twine bow at the top of the card.
