MFT has scoured its vault and chosen some fan favorites to make a reappearance today! The release is available in the shop right now so go check it out, if interested.
NEW FOR 2024! Stamps and dies come packaged together. Get the stamp and coordinating dies in one easy click AND at a 10% discount! Or purchase just the stamp set; the coordinating dies will no longer be available as a standalone purchase. I was surprised when I got my DT package and the dies were together with the stamps and I love it! There is less packaging and waste as I always put stamps and dies together in the same package anyway.
I used the re-released Geometric Greenery Stamp & Die combo to create a grungy mixed media card. I think this is perfect for a masculine design or any mixed media fan.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
- On an A2 panel of white cardstock, brayer from the bottom left, up and then from the top right, down with MFT Lazy Day and Caribbean Sea dye inks. Add a little braying with Vintage Timber dye ink.
- Splatter with water, diluted ink colors in the same colors, and white acrylic paint.
- Using the Typewriter Text background, stamp with Vintage Timber randomly on the panel. Blur some of the stamping with a watercolor brush.
- Add a layer of clear gesso. This is to protect the ink already down as water soluble inks can be picked up by the paste and I wanted it to stay as white as possible.
- Using the Grid Stencil, add opaque crackle paste. Let air dry so the paste can crackle on its own.
- Once the panel was dry, add a little more ink color and stamping with the Typewriter Text.
- Distress the edges with a distresser tool and ink the edges with vintage timber.
- To add some white back to the panel, add some white heavy gesso on the edges of the panels. It did not work as well as it picked up some of the color I inked on the edges.
- Wrap white baker’s twine around the panel.
- Trim a panel of Lazy Day cardstock and distress the edges. Adhere behind the inked panel and to a card base.
- Die cut a banner from white using the Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics. Pop up with foam tape.
- Die cut a smaller banner from kraft cardstock. I crimped the kraft cardstock with my Marvy paper crimper.
- Stamp and die cut three leaves from Geometric Greenery. Stamp with brown inks. On one leaf add a little watercolor using the same ink colors as the background. Adhere on top of the banner.
- Stamp and white heat emboss a sentiment and die cut it with a small banner die.
- As a final touch, I added a bow and a heart topped with silver glitter.
