Sip, Read, Repeat – MFT Stamps

Hello, and welcome back to my blog! MFT is releasing a special JB release tomorrow at 10am ET featuring some more adorable stamp sets. I’ll have inspiration to share today and tomorrow so I hope you will stop by and take a look 🙂 Today’s card features the JB Books & Buddies Stamp & Die Duo. Isn’t it cute?!

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Using the English Brick stencil, stencil Amarena Cherry ink through the stencil on a white A2 panel. Use the leftover ink to go over the white parts between the bricks. Splatter with water for additional texture.
  2. Adhere the stenciled panel to an A2 card base.
  3. Using a brayer, brayer on white distress paint on the Typewriter Text background stamp. You must work quickly as distress paint is permanent when dry. Stamp the stamp on a panel of kraft. Clean the stamp immediately.
  4. Mask off a portion of the Kraft panel with masking tape and ink blend Tropical Teal dye ink. Distress paint resists ink so you can see it peeking through. With a white pen, add lines around the ink blending for an additional detail. Add white pigment ink to the edges of the panel and, then add to the card front.
  5. Stamp and copic color several images from JB Books & Buddies Stamp & Die Duo. Die cut all of the images. Deepen shadows with colored pencils.
  6. Add the images with foam tape to the card front.
  7. Stamp a sentiment and die cut with a fishtail banner. Die cut another banner from red cardstock and staple the banners together. Adhere to the card front.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you like this card! I’ve been reading (well listening) to dozens of books lately, and I love it! I think this stamp set would pair nicely with the Tall Tag Die-namics to create bookmarks.
