Hey there! Are you tired of holiday cards after Christmas in July? I hope not because I am sharing a new one, lol. I could do holiday cards all year as I love them so much. Christmas is my favorite holiday. Spellbinders kindly sent me a few recently released products that I haven’t had a chance to play with yet. Today’s card features the Copperplate Happy Holidays Betterpress plate and the Night & Day Pines Betterpress plates. I added a bow and foliage from Christmas Cocktails and Christmas Bird Poinsettia, respectively. I think this turned into a classic, but fun design.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
- Using the Betterpress System and the Night & Day Pines Betterpress plates, press the design onto Fog cardstock. Fog is the perfect cool, light gray cardstock. For the inks, I used two Catherine Pooler inks – Spruce on the bottom half and Sage at the top. I softened the line between the two inks with a blending brush.
- I added ink blending to the edges of the panel with the same two inks to add dimension and additional color.
- Splatter the panel with diluted Sage ink and water.
- Trim a piece of Forest cardstock down to about 3×3 inches.
- Using the white opaque glimmer foil, hot foil the Copperplate Happy Holidays Betterpress plate onto the piece of Forest cardstock. I swear that the Betterpress plates foil much, much better than the regular glimmer plates.
- Adhere to the middle of the pine branch panel with foam tape.
- Die cut the bow and foliage pieces from scraps of cardstock with the Christmas Cocktails and Christmas Bird Poinsettia die sets. I used the same color palette, adding white and silver glitter. Adhere on the card front with liquid glue.
- Crimp an A2 panel of kraft cardstock using the Marvy Corru-Gator paper crimper tool. I love using this to texturize paper. It adds such a pretty detail.
- Adhere the panels together and add to a card base.
- Splatter with white ink and embellish with silver pearls.

I hope you’re inspired by this card. I think I will try doing this design in different color combos. The Night & Day Pines plate actually comes with two betterpress plates. One focuses on the pine branches and the other is the reverse focusing on the background. Enjoy your day!
Happy crafting,
Tiffany
