August Release! – Waffle Flower Crafts

Check out the samples I created below. For all of my cards, I decided on a fun, happy holiday palette of shades of pink, red, silver, and white.

CARD 1

For this card, I used the detail layer of the Star Snowflake to create a shaker window. I die cut and adhered two detail layers – using silver and white cardstock – for a little interest and lifted the edges so you can see the silver snowflake underneath. I ombre stamped a sentiment from the Star Snowflake stamp set and die cut it with one of the label dies. I also splattered the background with water, diluted pink dye ink, and silver metallic watercolor. I embellished the front of the card with snowflake sequins I had in my stash, and on the inside I stenciled a single snowflake using the included Star Snowflake Stencil Duo with pink and red ink.

CARD 2

In this sample, I made an easel card with the star snowflake die. I did some partial die cutting on the card base to make the shaped bottom portion of the card. I die cut the shadow layer of the snowflake from white cardstock and sprayed it with Sterling silver gloss spray. On top I layered the detail layer snowflake that I ink blended with red and pink dye ink. On the outside and inside of the card, I stenciled snowflakes using the Star Snowflake Stencil Duo. Again, the sentiment is from Star Snowflake stamp set. It is silver heat embossed on red cardstock and die cut with one of the label dies. I made a couple mistakes in the making of this card, like I spilled the bottle of gloss spray near the card almost ruining the entire thing. If I made this again, I’d move the sentiment up so it wasn’t visible when the card is closed.
