Happy Holidays – MFT Stamps

Hey crafty friends! Welcome back to my blog. The special Jenoblade release is live and in the shop, and it is SO adorable as always! I couldn’t decide which stamp sets I wanted to play with because they are all seriously so, so cute. In the end, I decided to start with Extra Long Holiday Wishes. I love giraffes. I’ve been to Africa twice and each time went on safari. The giraffes and the elephants were my favorite animals to watch. They are majestic and fascinating giants.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Adhere patterned paper from Joyful Plaid to an A2 card base.
  2. Stamp and copic color several images from Extra Long Holiday Wishes on xpress-it paper. Die cut with the coordinating die-namics. I used the following colors:
    Everything green: G28, G94, G24, G21
    Everything red: R39, R29, R24
    Giraffe spots: E57, E55, E53
    Giraffe bodies: YR27, YR24, Y32, E57, Y19 (At the end, I glazed over the bodies with yellow to bring out more of a golden hue)
    Giraffe antlers: W4, W2, W0
    Giraffe cheeks: RV13, RV11
    Everything teal: BG18, BG13, BG11
    Everything yellow: Y19, Y08, Y04
  3. Add white pen detail with a white posca pen, 0.7mm.
  4. Die cut the Tri-Frame Cover-Up Die-namics three times from white cardstock. Adhere two layers together, leaving the third to the side.
  5. Adhere the frame to the card front.
  6. Ink blend the three smaller interior panels with red and green ink. Splatter the panels with water and white acrylic paint.
  7. Using the third Tri-Frame Cover-Up die cut, use scissors to trim a snow bank for each of the three smaller interior panels.
  8. Ink blend the snow banks with light gray for a little shading. Adhere to the ink blended, interior panels.
  9. Pop up the panels with foam tape and adhere into place.
  10. Adhere the images with foam tape and liquid glue. Use a warm gray copic marker to add shading underneath each image.
  11. Stamp a sentiment and die cut with a banner die.
  12. Embellish with clear, sparkling sequins.
  13. Inside the card, add another sweet giraffe and another sentiment.
