Breast Cancer Awareness Release – MFT Stamps

Welcome back to my blog! It’s been a little while since I have posted. To catch you up on how I’ve been doing – I went through another bout with covid, unfortunately. I am feeling much better now. I went to Stamp Joy in Des Moines, Iowa two weekends ago. I went to another craft event in NJ this past weekend. It’s been a busy, but very fun time! I love crafting with friends.

MFT has a special release in the shop right now to bring awareness to breast cancer. Globally, it stands as the most prevalent cancer among women, with over 2 million new cases reported in 2020. Awareness and preventative procedures are key to early detection and saving lives. This release honors those who are fighting, who have fought, and who want to support the continuing research and education of breast cancer. I have known quite a few women (coworkers, friends, and fellow crafters) who have fought breast cancer so this is special. Beyond breast cancer, this release can be used for all other cancers or illnesses too. I think it is a great addition to your stash when you need an encouragement card for a friend going through a tough time.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
  1. On yupo paper, scribble copic markers RV10, RV11, RV13, and RV14 randomly on the panel. Using isopropyl alcohol and the alcohol ink blower, move the ink around on the panel. Using your alcohol markers or marker refills is another way to get the same look without using actual Ranger alcohol inks. I wanted a light color so I used a lot of isopropyl alcohol around the panel. Once I was happy with the color, splatter with more isopropyl alcohol for added texture.
  2. Die cut the panel using the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Frames Die-namics. Pop up the frame with foam tape.
  3. Adhere the frame and insert on a panel of white cardstock. I inked the edges with an RV11 marker so the colors could match.
  4. Die cut the Hope Die-namics from white (two times) and gray (once) cardstock. Adhere the layers together.
  5. Die cut the Awareness Ribbon Die-namics from white cardstock three times. Color the top layer with RV11, RV13, and RV14. Underpaint the RV14 with a C3 marker for a shaded color. Adhere the layers together and pop up with foam tape.
  6. Stamp a sentiment from Breast Wishes in black StazOn ink.
  7. Adhere the die cut pieces on the panel.

Hope you’re inspired to check out the new release! Please head over to the MFT blog to see what the rest of the design team created. See you tomorrow for another card!
