Welcome back to my blog, friends! It is time for a new MFT Stamps release and we are returning to the countdown structure to share inspiration as a lead up to release day, Tuesday, Jan 9 at 10am. There so much cuteness in this release, as usual, so I hope you find something you love! For countdown day 1, I created a card using the JB Scent-sational Skunks Stamp & Die Duo. Remember that stamp and dies are sold as a combo, and dies won’t be available anymore as a standalone product. There are several MFT colors being re-released as well so you’ll see them featured throughout my cards.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
- Die cut a panel of Eiffel Tower cardstock with the largest of the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die-namics and adhere to an A2 card base. Use a smaller Wonky Stitched die to die cut a piece of paper from Black & White Plaid.
- Trim a panel of white cardstock down and die cut with the Notebook Edge Die-namics. Adhere behind the plaid panel, then adhere to the card front askew.
- Ink smoosh a panel of white using Poppin’ Pink dye ink. Ink smoosh multiple layers, drying in between layers, for additional texture. Splatter with water and diluted ink.
- Once dry, die cut the inky panel with the largest die in the Heart STAX Die-namics.
- Stamp and copic color one skunk and the grass from JB Scent-sational Skunks. I used warm grays for the skunk and a variety of greens for the grass.
- Die cut three hearts using the Heart STAX Die-namics from Poppin’ Pink cardstock. Die cut the grass using a heart as well so it will fit perfectly once adhered.
- Pop up the skunk and the hearts on the card front.
- Add dots with a red copic marker and faux splatter with a white pen.
- Stamp and white heat emboss a sentiment. Then die cut with a banner die from Blueprints 28. Die cut another banner from scrap cardstock with Poppin’ Pink ink. Adhere the layers together with glue and staples.
- Add the sentiment to the card front.

Oh such crafty cuteness! Did you use staples on your sentiment strip? I love that. I am seeing staples come back to life again on cards recently. Hope you are staying nice and warm. I have heard your area of the U.S. is getting hammered with winter snow. I am in Colorado for the next few weeks and missing the warmer climate of Texas!!

Thanks! And yes, I used staples. I think it’s a fun little detail. No snow here, just rain. I’m too far south. Enjoy your time away in CO!
