I Love You – MFT Stamps

Set your clocks – one more sleep until the January MFT Stamps release goes live! I hope you’ve found something you love and have either added it to your wishlist or are ready to purchase on release day. Everything will be available tomorrow at 10am ET. For today’s card, I wanted to go vintage-y so I used the new SY The Micest Thing Stamp & Die Duo. I think Stacey’s stamp sets lend themselves nicely to a vintage vibe. I’m also featuring Vintage Timber and Chantilly Cream – two re-released colors.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Using the Stitched Rectangle Scallop Edge Frames Die-namics, die cut a white frame and adhere to a kraft card base. In the center adhere a trimmed panel of Vintage Timber.
  2. Die cut a panel of Chantilly Cream with the Postage Stamp STAX Die-namics.
  3. Using the scripty stamp in First Class Friend, randomly stamp with Vintage Timber ink. For something like this, I don’t use a stamp block. The acrylic stamp is sticky enough to stay on your fingers temporarily. I do the sandwich method where I ink up the stamp then gently fold and stamp with uneven pressure. I don’t want a perfect impression.
  4. Splatter the panel and ink up the edges with Vintage Timber ink.
  5. Once dry wrap baker’s twine around the middle using tape to adhere on the back.
  6. Stamp images from The Micest Thing in Memento Rich Cocoa and copic color. I repeated the same copic colors throughout the images.
    Mushroom: Cap- E04, RV32, RV11; Stem- E31, E43, E42 and under painted with warm gray; Door- E59, E31, W8, W6
    Grass: G46, G94, G21
    Flowers: V95, V99; BV20, BV25
    Mouse: W0, W2, W3, W6, R20
  7. Die cut the images with varying sizes of the Postage Stamp STAX. Ink up all the edges with Vintage Timber ink.
  8. Add additional stamping to each “stamp” with stamps from First Class Friend.
  9. Pop up the panels with foam tape and adhere to the card front.
  10. Splatter with white acrylic paint.
  11. For the sentiment, color a portion of paper with V95 copic and on top, stamp a sentiment in Memento Rich Cocoa.

I hope I inspired you to try something new. Thanks for reading!
