Hi there! Today, I have a fun and simple way to stretch your supplies. I am featuring Crafty Meraki’s Eccentric Hearts Background Die.
To start, I die cut the background die twice from heavyweight, white cardstock. I glued the two die cut layers together and snipped five heart strands in varying lengths. The heart strands were also snipped from the thin frame of the background die.
To create the background panel, I ink blended an A2-sized piece of heavyweight, white cardstock using Distress Oxides inks. I used the following colors: worn lipstick, picked raspberry, seedless preserves, and chipped sapphire. To get a smooth blend, make sure to overlap colors repeatedly while the ink is still wet. After ink blending, I splattered the panel with water and diluted ink of the same Distress Oxide colors. After the panel dried, I adhered the five heart strands to the background panel and curved them randomly to mimic hanging vines or garland. I lightly splattered the strands with diluted worn lipstick Distress Oxide ink.
From the Sweet Friendship stamp, I stamped the sentiment in chipped sapphire Distress Oxide ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I matted the sentiment strip with another piece of white cardstock that I ink blended with chipped sapphire to match. I adhered the sentiment with liquid glue on top of the heart vines. To finalize my card front, I created a white frame using two basic rectangle dies and adhered it with liquid glue. Lastly, I added the completed card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you for joining me today. I hope I inspired you to see your supplies in a different way. See you next week!
