Find more info on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog. Let’s get into how I made my card.

Background and card base. I started with an A2, side-folding notecard from heavyweight white cardstock. On a panel of white cardstock, I heat embossed the Altenew, Shine like a Diamond, background stamp in gold embossing powder. I trimmed the panel down to 3.75 x 5 inch. Next, I die cut another piece of white cardstock with one of the layers from the Waffle Flower, A2 Lacy Layers Die. I adhered the layers together to form the final card base and background.

Card front. To bring in more coffee-related elements to my card, I created a coffee-colored panel with a variety of alcohol inks. I used the colors Butterscotch, Dandelion, Mined, and Statue repeatedly until I was happy with the final panel. I die cut the panel with the Pinkfresh, Curvy Leaves die. I also die cut some cream colored, textured cardstock with the Curvy Leaves die.

I resized and printed the coffee cups from Graciellie Designs, Spring Coffee Cups, digi stamp set and colored them with the following Copic markers:

  • Purple flowers – V000, V01, BV02, V04
  • Yellow flowers – Y18, Y15, Y13, Y04
  • Leaves on cup – YG00, YG06, YG13
  • Cup – W0

Finally, I added gold nuvo drops to the flower centers for more texture. I arranged all of my elements and adhered with liquid glue. I popped the coffee cups up with foam tape for dimension.

Sentiment. The sentiment is also from the Spring Coffee Cups digi stamp set by Graciellie Designs. I simply printed the sentiment, die cut with a small square die from Waffle Flower, Slimline Window Trio Die, and layered the sentiment with matching light purple cardstock from my stash.

I hope you liked my take for this blog hop. Please make sure to check the rest of the hop for more amazing inspiration! Happy crafting! ‪#springsummer2021clh
