Hey crafters, and welcome back to Countdown to Confetti Day 3! One more sleep until the release goes live tomorrow! Thank you so much for sticking with us. If you missed Day 1 or 2, please be sure to check back at my previous two blog posts to see my other cards. By now, you know the drill. Please comment on each designer’s blog and the Reverse Confetti Facebook page for a chance to win a gift card to the shop. For today’s projects, we are featuring the Patterned Panels stamp set and the Sparkle & Shine stamp set. The new product links won’t work until tomorrow. Let’s jump in to my makes!
I wanted to create a mixed media holiday card, so I started my ink smooshing several inks and oxides onto distress heavy stock paper. I used candied apple distress ink and oxide, festive berries oxide ink, antique linen oxide ink, mowed lawn distress ink and oxide ink, and rustic wilderness oxide ink. The antique linen between the red and green helped to prevent too much mud color from forming as is what happens when mixing complementary colors. Similar to Day 1, I ink smooshed several layers and dried in between layers for a varied look. At the end I used my gloss sprays in red, dark green, and white for some final splatters. I love, love how this festive panel turned out.

Once my panel was completely dried, I trimmed the panel to a mini slimline size and die cut it with the Tree Confetti Cut. I also die cut the tree several times from white cardstock to add as layers in each segment for added dimension. On three of the tree segments, I red heat embossed a circle pattern from the Patterned Panels stamp set. This stamp set is one of my favorite from the new release because it speaks to my mixed media loving heart.

For final touches, I silver heat embossed a sentiment from the Sparkle and Shine sentiment set and cut it into a little banner to go along the bottom of the tree. I added a few silver sequins, and that’s it!

My accompanying tag was clean and simple. I die cut the tag using the Celebrate Tag Confetti Cuts three times from two patterns in the Hello Holidays paper pack and once from vellum. On the vellum layer, I repeatedly stamped one of the stamps in the Patterned Panels stamp set in white pigment ink. On top of the tag, I die cut the Layered Peace Confetti Cut from white cardstock and red, glitter cardstock in my stash. Added some green twine, and done! Hope you found some inspiration and have a shopping list ready for tomorrow!
