Looking Fabulous! – Poppystamps

Hi crafty friends! I’m sharing a cute card featuring some of the newest products in the Poppystamps shopWhittle Happy Unicorn and the Whittle Rainbow Unicorn Kit! The kit is awesome because it comes with several coordinating dies and a stamp set all in one! If you are wondering what the difference between the unicorns are – the Whittle Happy Unicorn is much larger than the unicorns in the kit. Head over to the shop for more details.

To create my card, I started by die cutting several clouds using the Whittle Cloud Border die from white cardstock and vellum. On each cloud, I ink blended dye ink to add some color. On the vellum clouds, I blended light blue ink and made sure the vellum was completely dry before continuing. Ink can sometimes sit on top of vellum causing smearing so either wait for it to dry completely or rub off the excess ink with a dry cloth. I also added glitter brush marker to the border of each cloud because you can’t have unicorns without sparkle. I adhered the clouds to an A2-sized panel that I lightly ink blended with yellow dye ink for a soft glow.

Next, I die cut the pieces of the Whittle Happy Unicorn and the small clouds from the Whittle Rainbow Unicorn Kit. I colored the pieces of the unicorn with copic markers and again, added sparkle to various parts like the wing and horn. Similar to the vellum clouds, I ink blended light blue ink to the clouds. I popped up the unicorn with foam tape for dimension.

I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set included in the unicorn kit in black ink. Finally, I added several clear Fairy Drops all over the panel. I think it’s just the cutest, whimsical unicorn card! Thanks for stopping by today!
