Hi friends! I was excited to be a guest designer for Poshta Designs this week! I am wrapping up my week with this blog post. The wait is over – the beautiful holiday release is live in the shop! While I absolutely love the felt projects Poshta showcases, my first love is paper so I decided to use the amazing dies with paper. I think that’s the beauty of these stitching dies – whether you are a master seamstress or lover of felt or enjoy super simple stitching on paper (like me), Poshta dies can adapt to your making style. You’ll see that I mixed the dies with other things in my stash – dies, patterned paper, ink, etc. I hope this inspires you and helps you see that you can incorporate these fabulous products into your papercrafting very easily.
Tuesday – Joy card
On Tuesday, I featured one of the amazing color stories that Lizzie curated for the release – Fairy Floss. Fairy Floss is all about wintery pastels and a fun twist on traditional holiday colors. All of the color stories have coordinating floss, felt, and beads. I repeatedly die cut the stitching star (a freebie die going out to customers as a thank you) to create a background on my card. I used the floss to stitch the stars. The snowman and sentiment are from Sizzix/Tim Holtz dies. I used the negative space in the sentiment to layer strands of floss to tie the whole card design together. Lastly, I backed the panel with glitter cardstock and adhered to an A2 card base. I love how this sweet card turned out.

Wednesday – Pocket Tag II Die & Petite Gift Bow
The Pocket Tag II Die is versatile and fabulous! Create something simple and flat or incorporate a pocket complete with pinked trim for the perfect gift card accessory. It is ideal for use with both cardstock and felt. On one tag, I added the Petite Bow, mixed it with patterned paper from my stash, and the Jubilee color story floss. One the second sample, I created it as a gift card holder an embellished with small holly from All Aglow Die, which will be featured tomorrow. Both sentiments are stamps from Sizzix/49 & Market.

Thursday – All Aglow and Holly Jolly Dies
I featured the All Aglow Dies and the Holly Jolly Dies. I fell in love with the All Aglow dies immediately! You can create solid or patterned candles for any occasion with the All Aglow Die. Celebrate birthdays and holidays with this retro-inspired candle. It is so pretty! I stitched the candle and the “glow” with floss from the Jubilee color story and tan floss from my stash. I combined the candle with dies from Altenew, patterned paper, and stamps from The Greetery. It works perfectly with an easel fold, and I have another idea for a Halloween card/tag soon.

I also created a DIY wine bottle hanger tag using Holly Jolly. I ink blended and stitched the holly and berries with floss from the Jubilee color story. I adhered the holly to a tag embossed with a Spellbinders 3D embossing folder. I think this turned out super cute and was easy to create.

I did not work with the nutcracker kit (it looked a little too complicated for my basic stitching), but it is absolutely AMAZING! I love, love what the team created with it. It’s a must have to check out.
Bonus! I wanted to create a Halloween card with the candle to show you how versatile it can be. Using patterned paper in my stash and the All Aglow and Pocket Tag dies, I created this sweet Halloween card. I replaced the ‘1’ in ’31’ with the candle for a fun detail.

Thanks so much for joining me on my blog! I hope I showed you how you can use these dies for more than just felt projects. Don’t forget to check out the new release and past releases on the Poshta Design website. Have a great weekend!
Happy crafting,
Tiffany
