Welcome to the 12 Tags of Christmas challenge! To get you in the holiday spirit and help inspire some gorgeous new projects, the Ellen Hutson team and guests are creating tags inspired by popular holiday songs. I’m partnering with Therese to make a tag based on the classic song “Feliz Navidad”. Hop over to the EH blog to learn more and join the fun!

Since the song is a classic, I wanted to use classic Christmas colors, and I used the lyric “…from the bottom of my heart” as a jumping off point for my tag.

I started by foiling a panel of red cardstock with the Tiny Stars Background. Then, I die cut the panel with the Hero Arts, Infinity Nesting Hearts die. I die cut another heart from kraft cardstock, scored about 0.25 inch from the top, and adhered it behind the red heart to make a folding shaped tag. Inside of the tag, I stamped “to and from” from the Tag It, Christmas stamp.

Next, I worked on the flowers and foliage that I adhered to the tag front. I stamped and die cut various sprigs and flowers from the Holiday Sprigs set. I added crystal glaze to the flower center and on the holly berries for added dimension. I die cut a tree from green cardstock from the Holly Jolly Christmas set. I added gold and silver metallic pen details on top of the tree for a little extra shine. I adhered all of the elements with liquid glue.

Lastly, I die cut a tag from the Farmhouse tags set and stamped the sentiment from the Love and Light stamp set. I tied the sentiment and tag front together with some baker’s twine. Thanks for stopping by! I wish you a very merry holiday season!
