Hey friends! I’m back for some more holiday inspiration using the gorgeous Poppystamps Holiday Mistletoe die. I recently got some new WOW! embossing powders (I am guesting with them for the next couple weeks) so I wanted to try them out on my Poppystamps stash. Heat embossing die cuts is a great way to stretch your supplies and get additional use from your dies. Let’s dive into this clean and simple holiday card!

To start, I die cut an A2-sized panel with the Memory Box Pinpoint Daisy Background. I absolutely love the background piercing dies as it gives so much texture and interest to any design. Although they are technically daisies, the flowers reminded me of poinsettias, so I thought it worked for a holiday card.
For the mistletoe sprigs, I decided to heat emboss some cardstock before die cutting because the die cut was delicate. I swiped embossing ink on white cardstock and added embossing powder. I did this three times for each color of embossing powder – WOW! Dress Blues, WOW! Uptown, and WOW! Jealous Guy embossing powders. Feel free to switch up the colors and make a set of cards! After the embossed cardstock cooled, I die cut each piece with the Holiday Mistletoe die. I adhered the sprigs together, varying their heights for more interest. I also added Fairy Sugar in Dewdrop on the “berries”.

For the background behind the mistletoe, I cut about a 2 x 5.5 inch strip of white cardstock. I stacked the strip with 3 additional layers for additional dimension. I lightly blended some aqua ink on the cardstock strip. I carefully and strategically glued the mistletoe to the strip with liquid glue. I shaped the leaves a little and tied a twine bow at the top.

Finally, I stamped and die cut the sentiment from the Gilded Christmas Wishes stamp set. I love how this stamp set makes it easy to die cut a fancy sentiment label. Hope you enjoyed the card! See you next time.
