Hey friends! Welcome back to my blog and Happy St. Patty’s Day! Today, I’m sharing three cards I made with new goodies from the Spellbinders – Let’s Dance die set from the Happy Dance collection!
Card 1: I’ll Drink to That

I used the Let’s Dance die set to create a dancing leprechaun! The legs swing back and forth similar to the Be Merry holiday card I made. So much fun! The man is easy to assemble by following the sample on the website. I die cut the pants and jacket from Spellbinders Blue Spruce cardstock and added detail with a gold gel pen. I doubled up the die cuts for the pants and jacket to make them a little sturdier. I die cut the beer glass from Peridot and Silver Fox cardstock. The foam was die cut from Snowdrift cardstock. I lightly ink blended some green ink at the bottom of the “green beer” and the foam for dimension. I love how cute this glass of beer is!
To make it look like my leprechaun was holding the glass, I cut a little strip of Blue Spruce to act as an arm. Behind the leprechaun, I die cut flowers and stems from the Be Bold Blooms from Peridot cardstock. I snipped off a petal to mimic a four leaf clover and adhered with liquid glue. For the background, I die cut a panel of white cardstock and embossed with the Plaid Company Embossing Folder, matted it with Blue Spruce, and adhered to an A2 card base. The embossing is subtle and a little hard to see in the photos, but is noticeable in real life.
I finished the card with a gold hot foiled sentiment on black cardstock. The sentiment is from the We Dance Foil Plate and die set. I embellished the card with a few gold pearls. I’ll drink to that!
Card 2: Best Dad

For my second card, I die lot several of the beer glasses from Let’s Dance to create a repeating pattern. The beer is just so cute!! I thought it would make a fun Father’s Day card. I assembled several glasses and adhered to a panel of white cardstock embossed with an old embossing folder in my stash. I trimmed any excess die cuts hanging over. I assembled the ribbon from the Let’s Dance from gold foil and black cardstock. The sentiment is gold hot foiled from the We Dance Foil Plate and die set. Finally, I adhered the card front to a black, A2 card base. I thought about adding small, clear jewels throughout, but I opted to just keep it simple and embellishment free for dad.
Card 3: Cheers

For my last card, I made a CAS, mini slimline card. I used the Be Bold Color Block Hello You die and die cut it from patterned paper from the Christmas Traditions paper pad. I die cut the letters once from patterned paper, once from white cardstock, and once from black, fun foam for dimension. I love, love this foam. It gives the perfect amount of dimension and structure. To finish the card, I die cut another glass of beer and foiled two sentiments. I added a few clear drops for embellishment.
Hope you’re inspired to try out some of the new products! Take care everyone.
Happy crafting,
Tiffany
