Welcome to Day 4 of the countdown to the March release! For today’s card, I tried to do something I don’t normally – a fun fold. This card was so hard to photograph because of the fun fold and the shine on the balloon, so please head over to my IG to see the reel.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
- For the outside of the card:
- Die cut the sentiment from Blueprints 26 Die-namics from Poppin’ Pink cardstock.
- Stamp and white heat emboss a sentiment from YUZU Presents and Pupcakes on Lemon Drop cardstock.
- For the inside of the card:
- Stamp and copic color several images from YUZU Presents and Pupcakes. Die cut with the coordianting die-namics. Die cut a banner from Diagonal Gingham patterned paper.
- Mask off a portion to ink blend a ground for the present and pup.
- Stamp and white heat emboss a sentiment on Poppin’ Pink cardstock. Trim into a strip.
- Create the card base by connecting two separate A2 card bases together.
- From one card base, partially die cut the large balloon edge from Blueprints 26 Die-namics. Use your trimmer to trim off the rest of the card front around the balloon shape.
- Die cut the bow and string from gold cardstock, also in Blueprints 26.
- For the other card base, made sure it is facing left, and stamp the Balloon Strings Background in Poppin’ Pink dye ink. Adhere the images and sentiment.
- Glue the back of the left facing card, to the right facing card.
- To create the shiny balloon, on a panel of cardstock, swipe embossing ink over the whole panel. Using embossing glaze, sprinkle various colors and melt the colors together. Before it dries completely, sprinkle gold embossing powder and heat set again. This creates a kind of marbled effect.
- Die cut the embossed panel with the balloon edge die and adhere in place on the card front. Adhere ‘happy birthday’, the balloon bow, and a gold pearl on top.

This was a little confusing to explain, but I hope you understood the jist of how to create this card. Thanks for reading!

That is cute funfold card. I’m not really into funfold cards either. I will do a gatefold and once in a while a box card, but I typically stick to A2 or 5×7 cards. You did a great job. Have a great weekend.
