Welcome back to my blog and the countdown to a brand new MFT Stamps release! The May release goes live on Tuesday, May 9 at 10am ET.

This card was super easy to create! On mixed media paper, I sprinkled yellow, red, and orange pigment powder. I sprayed the powder with water until the granules dissolved. I love the way the color separates and bursts to create a vivid, fun background. While the background was drying, I die cut several pieces to create the scene. I used the following die sets:
I like that there is still dimension and interest even though all the die cuts are white.
I adhered the die cuts with liquid glue doubling some up for added dimension. The trees can be used as trees and as hedges/bushes which can be seen on my card sample.
In the top right, I stamped a birthday sentiment from Outdoor Oasis Sentiments.

What do you think? Would you try this technique of all white die cuts? I think this would be fun in all black or any other color for a monochromatic look. If you’re intimidated by scene cards, I think using all the same color for all of the die cuts takes the guess work out of building a scene. It’s fun to try new things and see how they work out. Stop by tomorrow for another look at what’s coming next Tuesday!
