It’s 2021 finally! Happy New Year, crafty friends! I appreciate the new year because it’s a time to reflect, be thankful, and make peace with the year that’s passed so you can confidently move forward. 2020 has been incredibly challenging on so many levels, but the new year is full of hope and possibilities. It’s a reminder that it’s never too late to be who you want to be. This card pays homage to turning a new leaf and the #manuarycards challenge.

It spins, it’s sparkly, it’s pretty! Is it an Olympic ice skater or my first spinner card?! I recently purchased the Birch Press Floral Star layering dies and I wanted to try something different. I was inspired to try a spinner from my friend @debbycards. I’ve never used the infamous BP layering dies before and I’ve never made a spinner so I gave it a whirl (pun intended) and it turned out (another intended pun, ha) great!

Have you ever started a project only to end up somewhere completely unexpected? Well, that’s exactly what happened when I made this! It’s my second design from the gorgeous Winter Wanderer release from The Greetery. My intention was to create a floral card – I already picked a color palette, stamped and die cut the flowers, and started planning my macrame elements. Lean into the curve balls crafting throws you. You may end up with something totally unexpected!
